On the 22nd we went to Minoh! I wanted to go in Sept for the autumn colors but had a miscommunication and ended up going to Mt.Koya where there were no autumn colors!
It’s a 2.7km walk to the waterfall through some beautiful greenery, past a shrine and under a bridge.
Bridge by a shrine about half way.
There are a few places to stop and have a drink or food on the way.
We sat on some benches by the waterfall and stared into the water for a while! Then we went on our way. Tempura maple leaves are a Minoh speciality so I had to try them.
They were really nutty, greasy and tasted just like autumn!
I really enjoyed Minoh park I look forward to going back in the autumn.
