Tokyo: November

In late Novemer there was a national holiday in Japan, so I had 3 days off together! Yay. We jumped on the Willer Express Friday night and headed to Tokyo.

As it’s so long ago now, here are the highlights of our trip!

First day we hit Asakusa, Harajuku, Akihabara and Shinjuku. Mostly for shopping.

Rilakkuma: Umeda Store 5th Anniversary

I went to the Umeda store today and picked up some of the anniversary series!

I was surprised by the size of these they are more like the S size simple plushies you can buy in store.

But they have so many cute little details!

Rilakkuma is picking chestnuts he has his chestnut picking device with a captured chestnut, an autumn leaf on his tummy, chestnut on the grass next to him and basket on his back complete with a grassy flower!

Korilakkuma is wearing a chestnut cape which even peaks a little at the top so it looks like a chestnut, she’s holding a basket with a fury chestnut, two shelled ones and a flower, she also has a leaf on her bottom.

Size comparison.

From the preview picture I really loved Kii but irl he was overshadowed by the other two.

They had the Store Anniversary plush available too but I didn’t get it even though its cute, I have to watch my pennies this month.

I was lucky enough to glimpse Rilakkuma irl too, but not lucky enough to get a photo with him.

He was there to promote the Rilakkuma birthday cake, but left pretty soon after I arrived.

Happy Autumn

Did you know Autumn officially started on August 8th?!

It’s slowly getting cooler in Osaka, a mere 24degrees C at night, and I’m back sleeping under my duvet which is gloriously comfy. The air con is taking a well deserved rest before Winter truly sets in and I need it to heat the apartment.

I love the changing seasons, all the shops have Autumn colors and snugly layers for sale.

Here are a few of my favorites….

The fansclub Rilakkuma Autumn series is super cute, featuring acorns and acorn outfits!

I won one last night with Ponta points!

Of course I love the Rilakkuma store deer and pie series that’s coming soon. I started collecting my Lawson stickers for the deer and pie series mug.

The beers changed to Autumn packaging a few weeks go, I was sad to see the hanabi (firework) design fade out, but the Autumn beers are slightly roasted and I like the taste.

Maple leaves will start to change color in November and Chestnut picking will start mid September.

I’m looking forward to eating lots of Mont Blancs, taking koyo pictures especially in Minoo Park and Kyoto, Halloween, wearing comfy knitted jumpers and the decline of Mosquitos!

With the cooler weather it’s more comfortable to wear lolita again so I’m looking forward to making some new coordinates and going to lots of meet ups, the first of which is on Sunday!
