On July 15th I attended Tamatsukuri Inari shrine summer festival (my local shrine) and the following day in pre-tyhoon weather went to Gion Matsuri in Kyoto.
In June we had a whistle stop tour of Kumamoto, we flew there, stayed on night and came back. Why? Becuase with Peach airlines I found return flights for less than 7000yen each.
Kumamoto is most famous for its mascot Kumamon, a cute black bear but it also produces a large variety of fruit and vegetables – watermelon and tomatoes in particular. Continue reading

April 27th, a while ago now we did some hiking on Mt.Kongo – its another hike lifted from Js Hiking magazine. We bought a Kongosan ticket at the Nankai train office that allowed us two days travel including the train, bus and a discount on the cable car.
I visited the Gudetama Cafe! It opened recently on July 18th in Umedas HEP 5.
Charapark reopened in the basement of the Hankyu SanBan Gai for the summer! XD I went for a quick peek before work.
I love Disneyland and Disneysea in Japan, although this was my first time to go in summer. The new Summer Festival event and Journeys with Duffy events started at the beginning of July.
