After 2.5 years in Japan I finally went to one of my favourite brands tea parties!!!!
So, how was it…?!
The lovely Kelsey got me a ticket the day they were released, and on the tea party day we met up to go together.
First we went to the store so Kelsey could pay for some items, tea party members that spent more than 5000yen in store on the day of the party all got Bingo cards for later.
Then we did some window shopping and visited Maruyama Park near the venue – Chorakukan Cafe.
There were two early cherry blossom trees in bloom!
We ate takoyaki and took some pictures around the park.
At 3:20pm we went to the venue, actually I thought we were late, but when we arrived we found out we were the first guests!
Wow the venue was absolutely gorgeous.
We took full advantage of being the only people in the room, and took lots of photos!
It was really hard making a coordinate as BTSSB as possible!
I wore AaTP Tea Time Nostalgia JSK, AaTP TTN tights, BTSSB pearl necklace, AaTP flower clip (on jsk), BTSSB watch, Q-Pot Rose Cupcake ring, Axes Femme blouse and Innocent World shoes. I also had a BTSSB school bag with mini Kumakumya and BTSSB bolero incase it got cold later.
Not long after the Baby store staff arrived with some guests. They put out name cards on the tables. Luckily for me I was on table no 1 with Kelsey, Claudia and Reo from the Kyoto store.
Menu – including quiche.
We started the event with a “Kanpai!” with sparkling non-alcoholic wine, then the food started to arrive.
Three tiers of delicious food.
It really did taste as good as it looked.
The staff handed out gifts to everyone – BTSSB 5th anniversary bracelets and rosettes.
A second desert.
Many many refills of fruity tea.
I really lucked out with my table, not only did everyone make a special effort to speak English for us, but they were kind and really funny!
After the food we had free time for photo taking!
Claudia and I helping ourselves to more tea.
Kelsey had handmade this romeo outfit for her Usakumya – amazing.
I took many many photos, but not sure I can post them here without blurring out everyones faces (as is the Japanese way).
Cant really see Reos face on this one so hope its ok! See – the Kyoto BTSSB staff are the cutest, kindest and funniest!
Before long our two hours were up and we had to leave, it was raining and hardly anyone had umbrellas! We must have looked a sight 20 lolitas walking in a line, in the rain through central Kyoto.
Back at the store they closed entry to the public so we could shop in private and then after what seemed like a lifetime they did the Bingo game. I didnt have a card (regretfully!) but everyone won a prize.
Afterwards we did purikura and Kelsey and I went on to do karaoke!!
This tea party was so much better than I could have hoped, the staff and guests were friendly and welcoming, everyone tried to speak to us (mostly in English too <3) the venue was gorgeous, food delicious and plentiful, the service was great and the tea party cost reasonable.
