Because shops are busy during the new year business owners can’t get out to pray for the new year, so Toka Ebisu is for those business owners to come and pray for good business.

The main day was Saturday 10th and I was working, but it was still busy on the Sunday.

We joined the crowd and waited to get to the front to throw money and pray.

I didn’t time how long it took but must have been at least 40 minutes, it was awful, people were pushing and shoving and I had an old lady elbowing me in the back. Grr.

Eventually we reached the front.

After praying for Js business we quickly escaped, it was just far too crowded.
