My third visit to Kobe Luminarie, the light up to commemorate the victims of the Great Hanshin Earthquake.
First we went shopping, I visited Voyageur the sister shop of Viajero, and bought another necklace! Then we walked through China Town to join the Luminarie line.
Apparently it changes every year in design, but its so subtle I can never see the difference.
Along the way are people selling food, omiyage, and collecting donations, this year there was also a Yu Pack stall with Danboard!
At the end of the path.
Looking back down the route.
It was busy for a Monday evening but not that bad I dont think, we were there about 8pm.
The pavillion had a donations area again, if you hit the bell with your coin it makes a loud chime!
Of course we missed.
To the back of the display are a few benches, so we sat down for a while, people watched and ate some hot food.
We could see all the wires holding the fretwork in place.
Afterwards we walked around the food stalls, I got this tamagosenbei (egg cracker) but the egg slid off onto Js jeans. Oops.
We also took a picture together like our 2012 picture!
