Just a few pics of Naras light up event – Nara To-kae.

This was our second time to To-kae but as the event is so huge and covers such a massive area of Nara City we could enjoy a completely new experience.

Last year we walked around Kofukuji and Todaiji temple, this year we walked around the ponds and up into Kasuga Shrine.

The best part was taking a rowing boat out on Sagi-Ike pond!

I stupidly didn’t take a camera, we had to make do with Js iPod which didn’t really do a good job!

Here are some official pictures so you know what it was really like!

It was still really hot strolling around, but really pretty! Very romantic, especially with everyone looking beautiful in their yukatas.
