My lolita wardrobe…
Today I went to Kobe with J, first we went to Vivre to check out all my favorite shops.
Innocent World had some lovely things in the sale, I got:
All 50% off!
After we headed to China town, got some gyoza and bubble tea.
Next we went to the Port area in Honeys I got these awesome boots, for ¥1995!
The port shopping centre had lots of valentines things –
They had this 3D picture opportunity too…
I had a really fun day and I can’t wait to wear my new clothes!
This last week I’ve been getting into crafting. I’ve raided every Seria and craft shop in Osaka!
I saw on the San-X website that a new series was released on the 19th, the Constellation series.
My birthday is July so my star sign is Leo!
I ended up in Umeda unexpectedly and bought him! He even has a lions tail!
It’s Rilakkumas 10th year this year I look forward to seeing lots more awesome series and collaborations coming out.
Wow how gorgeous is this?
It just came up for reserve on the Victorian Maiden website. I’m very tempted by it…
I only own one other VM dress which is still in England.
Anyone else lusting after this?!
In summer J and I visited all 4 Asahi Extra Cold bars in Japan, see here!
Before they closed we showed our 4 VIP cards and gave our names and addresses at the Osaka bar, in return a few weeks later we received beer vouchers.
We eventually filled these in and posted them off again.
Thank you Asahi!
For Christmas from my sisters I got to experience dressing like a Maiko (apprentice Geisha)!
I’d always thought it was a tacky overpriced touristy thing to do, but after seeing a few friends do it I thought it actually looked really fun and I’d like to as well – for the right price!
Hannah recommended the place she went, Maica, I decided on the Okigaru plan as it was the cheapest and had everything I needed. Kimono, make up, wig, time for photos!
Just before New Years I saw these in Etude House.
There is also a mist spray, lip tint and highlighting powder in the series. I hope they bring out more!
There are two Etude House stores in Osaka, in Daimaru North B1 Shinsaibashi and Mio Tennoji.
Late Dec early Jan is 福袋 (fukubukuro) aka lucky pack season! Shops sell off their old stock in a hidden bag so you don’t know what you are buying except that it is a bargain. For example Swimmers ¥3000 LP contains ¥15000 of stock. Nowadays you can often choose the colour or size of the LP items or there will be an example picture of the contents. Shops like Angelic Pretty and Baby, the Stars Shrine Bright make special LPs with items made just for the LP.
Most LPs are available the first opening day after New Year, either the 1st or 2nd Jan. On NYE I saw some girls queuing at OPA and apparently the que got two blocks long by 8am. Though it wasn’t quite as epic as the girls I saw queuing all night at Shibuya 109, Tokyo in 2009. This years Harajuku LP craziness is here!
Sam and I decided to try for an Angelic Pretty lucky pack on the 2nd. We arrived later than planned, about 11am and que was still down the street!
It moved pretty quick and after 45mins we were at the door.
Our friend Lona told us all the Toy March had gone and the only salopette LP left was pink, she was getting the JSK set in black and me and Sam decided to do the same!
It took another hour in the que to pay but eventually our mission was complete! I had to rush to Liz Lisa to collect my reserved LP and then had plans with our friends in the aft. Sam and I parted in Umeda with a high five for luck!
Technically our first shrine visit was at 3am when we wandered to Namba Shrine after RockRock but we didn’t join the que and pray, just warmed ourselves by the fire and bought cute little NY snakes.
Our first proper visit was to our local Tamatsukuri Inari Shrine.
Queuing to get in.
We said our prayers, drank some sake and walked around.
Hopefully this will bring us all good luck and a fresh start for the New Year!
